Apples

We like to experiment with many different varieties of apples at the orchard. Many factors determine the characteristics of an apple for example the cultivar, rootstock, soil acidity (PH level) , climatic region and cultural practices.

The apple trees chosen for the orchard were based on the following criterias: the trees resistance to disease to be able to practice Natural Farming and of course the taste of the fruit. We wanted to offer many different tasting apples to suit all palettes and offer the discovery of new varieties.

PRESERVATION

Apples make lovely centerpieces, all shiny and blushing  red but unfortunately they will lose their crispness 10 times faster if left on the counter. Keep in the refrigerator, preferably in the crisper. Prolonged preservation can be done in a dark space with high humidity, contrary to potatoes,  apples need humidity.
